Post-Show Reflections: Art in the Green at the Domes

I’ve just returned from a two-day adventure showing my work at Art in the Green, held inside the stunning Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee — and I’m still glowing from the experience. 🌿✨

The venue was unreal — a greenhouse jungle of palms, desert cacti, and lush florals. Setting up my copper jewelry beneath those domes felt like being part of a living art installation even if we were set up in an empty greenhouse off to the side of the domes. I’d never been before, but I can already say it won’t be my last time.

This show was a solo journey — my husband stayed home with our son — so I had a little room to breathe, reflect, and settle into the rhythm of being an artist on the road. I even booked myself a hotel and made a mini retreat out of it. Creative energy + alone time? A dream combo.

A big win this weekend was putting my new jewelry travel case to the test — and wow, what a difference. It replaced three overstuffed tote bags and kept everything so organized. Total game-changer. (You can see the exact one I used here— affiliate link!)

As always, the best part was connecting with people — the curious customers who stop and ask questions, the little moments of awe when someone recognizes a deer tooth, a pine cone, or hand-sculpted mushroom in my work. It reminds me why I do this: to create tiny pieces of wonder.

🌙 And I’m not slowing down yet!
This Thursday, I hit the road again — this time with Perry (my husband and digital artist!) for Nightmare Weekend in Chicago, held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. We’ll both be showing in Artist Alley, side by side. We are so excited that we get to do events together, and I’m thrilled to share this next one as a team.

I’ll be sharing prep and behind-the-scenes leading up to the show on my instagram and TikTok— plus a closer look at the new pieces I’ve been working on post-domes. If you’re near Chicago, come say hi!
